Noise Control for Transformers in Substations

Transformers for electrical energy provider’s substations can emit irritating low frequency noise that is heard over a wide area.

FAIST’s noise control panels – as an alternative to an elaborate and complex individual enclosure for  transformers in substations for noise control - have proven themselves in this application.

Pre-assembled large modules, designed for special noise control requirements in the area of transformers in substations can be adapted to the site topography and installed relatively quickly.

Before the design phase and during acoustic consulting, FAIST's designers  use various special computer programs to simulate noise control in the area of transformers.  In this way, for example, the height of the noise control panels in substations can be adapted and then optimally integrated into the surrounding area.

Significant material savings result through this dimensional optimization of the noise control panels.  FAIST and the customer thereby realize the optimal noise control for transformers.
