Acoustic Measurements for Optimum Noise Control in Industrial Facilities
If necessary, we can also perform acoustic measurements in your industrial facility in order to determine the characteristics and spectrum of the noise level. These measurements are the basis for further calculations.
The noise frequency spectrum, the room conditions such as amount, positioning and depth of the sound absorbers determine the room acoustics as well as the optical design.

Reactive Sound Absorbers – Compound Plate Resonator VPR
Small rooms, no matter how they are configured, transmit a very uneven sound resonance in the lower frequencies and are therefore dependent upon sound absorbers. When rooms have no sound absorption and the innate room frequency is activated, sound distortion, droning and articulation loss result.
FAIST has, in co-operation with the Fraunhofer Institut for Bauphysik, addressed these problems and with the compound plate resonator (VPR) have developed a practical and slim sound absorber (low-frequency absorber) for both the professional and the do-it-yourselfer. FAIST has successfully realized a significant number of projects using these sound absorbers.
Architectural acoustics, especially in, for example, audio rooms, sound studios, conference rooms, offices, foreman’s offices, music rooms, suffer from sound distortion, droning and articulation loss, etc. That is why sound absorbers, such as VPR modules, are used. They can be easily installed by craftsmen with acoustic know-how and installation experience improving the room’s acoustic quality. Communications are improved, droning is eliminated and the room resonance smoothed out using sound absorbers. With the sound absorbers VPR, we can offer the experienced practitioner a tool to improve the acoustics for speech and music.
The low-frequency absorber VPR can be further enhanced into a broadband compact absorber by adding another layer of absorption in front of the VPR. Countless installations worldwide guarantee the highest acoustic quality of these sound absorbers.
The ultimate discipline regarding the application of different types of sound absorber types and diffusors is found in the design of special reverberation rooms. This requires that the special reverberation room be exactly designed with sound absorber types and the special allignment of the sound absorbers in the room integrated with the individual placement of the diffusors which are acousticaly tuned
